My brothers and I were at Malcolm Sargent when Mr Knight was the Headmaster and we all have the fondest memories of such a kind, calm and gentle man. He presided over a golden age of education there in the 1980s and his values of respect, responsibility and kindness are much missed these days in schools. He led by example, inspired his staff and pupils and I am sure many former students have been saddened to hear of his passing.
